Become an Undergraduate Research Assistant!
Research assistants (RAs) are responsible for supporting research through tasks including journal review, experiment design, participant recruitment, data collection, and data analysis. Tufts students of all majors are welcome to apply. We especially encourage you to apply if:

You have a particular interest in the research that we do in the IPSE lab.

You have a GPA of at least 3.0.

You are a current freshman, sophomore, or junior. We do accept seniors during their second-to-last semester, but a 2 semester commitment is required if accepted into the lab

You are a First gen student and/or a student from an underrepresented or marginalized background looking to gain research mentorship

You are a sophomore or junior interested in conducting a Senior Honors Thesis
Please note that students must be part of the lab for at least one semester before conducting a Senior Honors Thesis with Dr. Allen.
Application Information
The application form will be opened up when there is capacity in the lab. Applications submitted past deadlines may be considered on a rolling basis. Below are target dates for the application process:
For RA positions during the Summer:
Applications should be submitted by April 20th
Applications will be considered after April 20th on a rolling basis.
For RA positions during the Fall semester:
Applications should be submitted by August 20th
Applications will be considered: after August 20th on a rolling basis.
For RA positions for the Spring semester:
Applications should be submitted by November 20th
Applications will be considered: after November 20th on a rolling basis.
PLEASE NOTE: in order to participate in the IPSE Lab RAs must enroll in Psych 91 in the Fall and Psych 92 in the Spring. Summer RAs are not required to enroll in a class to participate in the lab at this time. If you have any questions about your ability to enroll please contact us.
